The N95 is the fat, feature-laden boss at the top of Nokias multimedia phone range but now the company has revealed the successor, the N96.
The looks are somewhat more stylish and under the hood theres a lot of the functionality already found in the N95. Two of the more noticeable differences is the storage bump from 8GB to 16Gb good for around 40 hours of video - and the inclusion of a DVB-H receiver, the Euro standard for tuning in digital TV. Theres also a microSD card slot for adding another 8GB, if you really need it. It sports a large 2.8in display and even a handy kickstand so that you dont have to hold it when watching videos. read more »

We all know that cell phones are dime a dozen, and basically everyone I know has one. I suppose only the retired segment of the population couldn’t care less about new features that are introduced with each generation of handsets, but a cell phone is an essential item for today and no longer considered to be a luxury gadget to have. While phone manufacturers have been pushing a whole bunch of handsets down our throats with each quarter (remember back in the good old days where Nokia released just a couple of handsets each year?), there are a couple of companies who have decided that the consumer should be the one who chooses what they want to see inside each handset instead of getting features which they don’t want/need. read more »

YouTube may be the best known mainstream video hosting sites on the Web, but it's certainly not winning any awards for the visual quality of its content. YouTube's creators have said that higher resolution videos are on the way, but until then there are a handful of other services that do a much better job at making your uploaded video look a little less Webby.
There's another problem at hand too--size. Video files are big, and a lot of the most popular services place tedious size restrictions. Those restrictions mean you are either going to have to compress your video through third party software before uploading, or make smaller, lower quality source recordings to begin with. read more »
A new company named ZZZPhone wants apply to mobile phones the build-to-order business model successfully implemented by giant PC maker Dell and later on adopted by other leading retailers such as Nike iD. With this level of customization, the company claims it has developed a $149-mobile phone loaded with more features compared to the $739 Nokia N95 handset model! We know you can never have everything of what you want, but that has not stopped Sony Ericsson from trying to deliver a handset that offers just about any and every feature that you think you might want in the form of the new W902 Walkman cell phone. Since it comes from the Walkman line and not the Cybershot range, you will certainly expect this to be an audio-centric handset, pumping out tunes with vigor. Good thing it comes with a Memory Stick Micro card slot that allows you to tote up to 8GB of music on a single card, which roughly equates to 8,000 songs or so on average. read more »
When I was cell phone shopping last year, I really wanted a Sony Ericsson K800i. Badly. The only reason I did not get one is that I couldn’t buy one (aside from buying an unlocked one - which is quite expensive and wouldn’t have a guarantee that it would work with my provider) because they only sold it in the UK. I ended up with a Motorola RIZR Z3 instead.
